Under the siege of Typhoon No. 10

Hong Kong was hit by Typhoon Vicente. The Typhoon Signal No. 10 was hoisted at 0045 this morning with strong gale reaching as much as 155km per hour. Close to 120 people were injured as of 6am today. The last time Hong Kong was hit by Typhoon Signal No. 10 was 1999, 13 years ago when two died and more than 400 were injured during Typhoon York.

Typhoon Signal No.10 is the highest typhoon signal issued by Hong Kong Observatory, indicating that winds of hurricane force (i.e. 118km/hr or more) are expected to affect the territory.
